Shipwreck Snorkel Trail at Lauderdale by the Sea

This unique beach experience about 200 feet offshore in 12 to 15 feet of water was created in 2002 because of it's popularity among divers. The Shipwreck Snorkel Trail was set just before the first reef line with concrete cannons and more. This site is a replica of a shipwreck within a 100' x 20' area.

Average Visibility: 25 ft

Water Temperature: 72°F winter, 84°F summer

Waves: Average 1-2 foot

Bottom Current: Slight North (approx .25 knots)

Surface Current: Direction of Wind

Surge: Light (consistent with wave size)

Location: Datura Avenue Beach, one block South of Anglin's Pier on East Commercial Boulevard in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, just North of Fort Lauderdale and South of Pompano Beach.
