Tessie

Located in 77 feet of water about 8 miles S of Pensacola Pass, this 40 foot cabin cruiser is part of a compiled artificial reef site. Located near the PC Barge, Sylvia and Deliverance, the site is great for the novice/intermediate diver and spear-fishermen looking for Flounder. Before being sunk as part of the Artificial Reef Program, the Tessie’s superstructure was removed and her hull was filled with 4 car bodies – which are easily visible. Additionally, the wreck was surrounded by concrete culverts to attract marine life and provide safety to juvenile fish. The cars and culverts make a nice backdrop for underwater photography.
