Black Bart
Located in 75 feet of water this 185 foot supply ship was sunk in the 1990s as part of the artificial reef system. Cargo holds, the galley and the heads are open for exploring. You’ll need a light for the innermost parts. Visibility can be affected by the silt bottom. This is an advanced site due to depth and wreck penetration. The Black Bart is named for Captain Charles Bartholomew who was the Navy’s Supervisor of Salvage in Panama City for years. Captain Bart was a sport diver who worked long and hard on securing Navy wrecks for artificial reefs in Panama City.
