Santa Lucia
Located in 24 feet of water approximately 3.8 miles west of Gordon Pass, this 47 foot turtle boat was used to transport Cuban refugees. In 1997 it was pulled out of storage and sank short of the intended site. Pilings and concrete beams are being used to keep the wreck in place. Visibility is murky. While being towed to be sunk, the vessel started to take on water and sank in only 24 feet of water. It has been weighted with concrete to keep it from drifting but visibility is poor and while shallow and considered a novice dive site – it isn’t all that much fun.
