Black Hole

Located in water from 60 to 240 feet deep, this advanced dive site is about 27 miles offshore of Naples in the Gulf of Mexico. The site is a sinkhole or old spring opening about 100 feet in diameter. Narrowing at about 100 feet and then opening up again, this site offers caverns, ledges and outcrops. Thought to have possibly been a spring in prehistoric times, this circular opening begins at 65 feet and drops to 224 feet. You must be an advanced diver and having cavern/cave experience would be best. Lots of marine life frequents the area including turtles. Hard and soft corals, sponges, fans, and abundant marine life make this a really nice site for the advanced cave diver.
