Princess Britney

Located in 90 feet of water about 3.5 miles off the coast of Key Biscayne, this 165 foot freighter was sunk in 2003 by the Miami-Dade Artificial Reef Program. Lots of marine life to see in this dive site. The Princess Britney was seized in 2002 by Custom and Border Protection during Operation River Walk. Caught transporting more than one million dollars worth of cocaine, the freighter was donated to the Miami-Dade Artificial Reef program in 2003 and sunk. Some of the larger fish species, like barracuda and grouper make this area their home. Nice intermediate dive site.
