Golden Beach Boulder Reef
Located in 45 feet of water east of the town of Golden Beach, this site was constructed in 2005 by placing about 850 tons of limestone boulders in 3 piles or patches about 40 feet apart. In January of 2005, the Florida Fish and Wildlilfe Conservation Commission agreed to share the costs to create a new artificial reef. In time it will probably be a terrific area for corals and marine life. Not much to see at this time.
