Located 6 miles southwest of Big Pine Key in 100 -140 feet of water. 210 foot freighter sits upright and intact in a protected sanctuary. 12 large holes allow penetration. Not for the novice diver – this is an advanced wreck dive site.

Located 4 nautical miles off Marathon and 3.5 miles southeast of Key Colony Beach in 15-30 feet of water, this small series of patch reefs has some rare pillar coral and some of the largest brain corals in the Keys. Anchor 50 yards east or west of the 6 foot piling that marks the site.

Located 1.5 miles east-northeast of Sombrero Lighthouse in 10-35 feet of water are several wrecks and a nice grouping of elkhorn, brain coral and star corals. This is a SPA site – no fishing or lobstering. Novice site also nice for snorkeling.

Located 3.5 miles south of Duck Key and in 25 feet of water is an old 1889 steam-powered freighter. Nice novice dive with good visibility and lots of local marine life and corals.

Located 2.5 miles offshore of Vaca Key and Sister Creek; and 1.5 mile toward the shore from Delta Shoal in 10 to 25 feet of water. The site is marked by a 36 foot tower. Nice novice site.

Located 3.5 miles southeast of Key Colony Beach in 15-65 feet of water, this is a nice dive for novice and intermediate divers.

Located 10 miles southwest of Bahia Honda Channel in 5-70 feet of water. The deeper portions of the dive can encounter stronger currents. This is still a nice dive for the novice diver. This site is a SPA site.

Located 4 miles southeast of key Colony Beach near Herman’s Fish Hole in 15-25 feet of water. A very nice novice dive or snorkeling spot. Likely to find nurse sharks.

Cross reference HMS Looe site. This beautiful reef ranges in depth from 5-70 feet. 70 buoys surround the area. There are 54 mooring buoys so do not anchor on the bottom. Ranging from novice to advanced areas requiring decompression, the site is very popular.
