This site is located within the Florida Keys National marine Sanctuary. This is a prime night dive for the experienced diver and a great site for any level of diver during daylight. There is a fair to moderate current and among the gorgeous corals hides fire coral so beware.

Located 6 miles off Key Largo, a part of the 4 mile long Carysfort Reef system with depths to 80 feet at the bottom of the wall there, this is an excellent site for diving as well as snorkeling closer to the lighthouse. This is one of the best reef systems in the Keys – lots of corals and marine life.

Located near Dry Rocks, 6 miles east-northeast of the Key Largo Cut within John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, this 4,000 pound bronze sculpture of Christ lies in 25 feet of water. Easily viewed by divers and snorkelers alike, this makes a wonderful photo opportunity.

The City of Washington is a shallow water dive site great for night divers as well as novice divers and snorkelers. The hull and keel are still identifiable and a debris field of about 325 feet attracts marine life of all types. Many Barracuda, Morays and Nurse Sharks have little fear of divers because they have been hand-fed for years.

Sometimes called “Wreck Reef” because of the number of wrecks in the area – this site varies in depth from 18 to 85 feet and offers clear blue water because of the closeness of the Gulf Stream. This also makes for some moderate currents. A buoy marks the deepest portion of the site at nelson’s Ledge.

Great site with ledges, tunnels, caves, swim-through arches and a variety of corals, sponges and marine life. Buoys mark several well-known sites, like Hourglass Cave; Christmas Tree Cave ; swim-through; to mention a few. Christmas Tree Cave is known for its Christmas Tree Worms as well as eels and Grouper.

This is a shallow water dive ranging from 4 to 25 feet. A terrific novice or snorkeling area but be aware that parts of this site are designated Sanctuary Preserve Area (SPA). Large numbers of tropical fish inhabit the area.

Located about 1.5 miles southwest of Carysfort Light, there are some cannon balls, ballast stones and lots of coral to be found on the body of this old wreck. Shallow enough for the Novice diver.

Included in the Elbow Reef area, this wreck has several large pieces that make a great photographic backdrop. Depths to 25 feet offer lots of light and make it accessible to even the most novice diver and snorkelers as well. Lots of marine life in the area.

This is a large natural reef formation with 40 mooring buoys provided for tying up to the site. Do not use your anchor. The Northern end is shallow and great for snorkeling as well as novice diving. Many varieties of coral and tropical fish make the site their home.
