Duck Key Wreck
Located 3.5 miles south of Duck Key and in 25 feet of water is an old 1889 steam-powered freighter. Nice novice dive with good visibility and lots of local marine life and corals. The area is also referred to as the Boiler Patch. The name comes from its location close to Duck Key and also because about all that remains of the wreck is 4 large smokestacks and 2 boilers. The wreck is easy to find and could possibly be a nice location for underwater photography due to shallow water, corals and marine life.
