Sand Key

. No fishing or lobstering. Use a mooring buoy and beware of FIRE CORAL. This site is home to larger fish like grouper and barracuda as well as loggerhead turtles. Elkhorn and fire corals are prevalent. Be cautious around the brightly colored fire coral. A nice place to picnic, relax and snorkel for those who don’t want to dive, the site changes with the weather so no 2 dives are alike. Ledges drop from 45 to 70 feet. Nice dive for novice and intermediate divers if novice divers stay to the shallower areas.

Notes: Mooring Buoys, Good Snorkeling
