Eastern Dry Rocks

Two miles due east of Sand Key; 6 miles south of Key West this is a SPA site and a “No Take” area. It is marked with a steel beam at the west end. Large corals and sometimes lobsters. An old galleon is on the site but isn’t really visible. Some artifacts like stone ballast can be found. Remember nothing can be removed. The SPA area is .1 square nautical mile. SPA (Santuary Preservation Area) is home to many large corals and lots of lobsters.
