Rabbit's Lair

Located 13 nautical miles from the Mayport Jetties in depths to 70 feet, this is a very nice reef system consisting of a natural ledge with lots of undercuts, chunks of limestone and 3 different wrecks; a steel barge, a minesweeper and a wooden tug boat. Visibility is really good at 50-100 feet. Nice dive for most levels of diver. Some of the natural ledges, like the Eastern ledge, reach up to 10 feet from the sea bottom. The wrecks seem to attract a variety of fish both large and small. GPS given for the area puts you on top of the eastern ledge. The ledges run north to south and there is also an eastern and a western line of ledges. This is a nice site for most levels of divers.
