Clayton's Holler

Lying 16.7 miles from the Mayport Jetties, in water depths from 85-95 feet, this is a very popular dive site. Three natural ledge reefs with one being about a mile long and 2 tug boats and a barge added to the area make this a great site for lobstering during the season. Fairly good visibility of about 40 feet is usual. One of the reefs contains a large swim-through that makes for a nice photo opportunity. One of the sections has a reef that rises 15 feet from the bottom. The depths make this not recommended for the very novice diver, but with the help and guidance of some more experienced divers, this would be a nice opportunity for the novice to begin growing in their skill sets.
