Chaves
Located off Snake Creek at Windley Key in about 10-20 feet of water. If you like to poke around looking for relics this is the spot. Also referred to in Spanish shipping records as “Carmen”, this smaller ship sank in 1733 during a hurricane. The ship was used to transport silver pesos from Havana. If you enjoy poking around for things of interest and are patient, you may come home with a memento.
