Spotfin Reef

This reef is located 1.25 mile northeast of the Port Everglades Inlet. It is a natural reef and contains a ledge which starts at 50 feet and drops off to 65 feet and a sandy bottom. This natural reef makes a great dive for the novice diver who is feeling confident at 50+ feet. There are large Grouper and Mangrove Snapper which inhabit the area on the west side of the ledge before the drop off. The ledge consists of crevices and caves that are perfect for fish and other sea life to inhabit. There are several varieties of soft coral on the reef as well.
