Rebel

Sitting upright and intact in 110 feet of water, this 150 foot freighter has interior access. Sunk in 1985 this wreck houses a variety of marine life. Really nice wreck dive – not a novice dive. This was a Dutch freighter built in 1947 and originally named “Cornelis”. After being sold in 1981 she ended up being named St. Andrea, but was confiscated for drug smuggling. She was purchased at Federal auction by an environmentalist attorney who gave her to the Broward County reef program to be sunk in 1985 and renamed her after his dog. The deck is located at 80 feet and the prop is still in place. Nice dive for photography and wreck exploring for the certified wreck diver or advanced SCUBA diver.
