Guy Harvey
Located 3.5 miles from the Hillsboro Inlet in 140 feet of water with the deck sitting at about 110 feet – this is an advanced SCUBA dive. Paintings of sharks and game fish on her sides as well as the marine life of the area make this a great dive site. Sunk May 10, 1997 in 140 feet of water this 185 foot Haitian freighter, the M/V Lady Kimberly, carried cargo to and from Haiti. Sold in 1997 with financial aid from Guy Harvey, the Pompano Beach Fishing Jrodeo towed the vessel from Port au Prince to help form an artificial reef. Guy Harvey took the time to paint sharks and other sport/game fish on the sides of the vessel before she was sunk. Guy Harvey is a well known and respect marine life artist. Having taken the time to beautify the ship with his paintings and for his financial assistance, the wreck site was named for him.
