Opal Towers

A natural reef ledge located 2.5 miles north of the Hillsboro Inlet. This is a terrific beginner dive with max depths of approximately 42 feet. This is also great for night and drift dives. A natural formation, the site usually provides good visibility and mild currents. A variety of sea life is present for great underwater photos. Tropical fish, turtles, eels, lobsters, corals and sponges are prevalent. The south side may have a wall of fish to swim through as you traverse the reef. If you want to do a drift dive, it is best to start on the south end and let yourself drift north.
