Boca Artificial Reef Ledge

A natural rock ledge covered in soft corals, sponges and algae. There is abundant marine life to be found but be aware of strong currents. Approximately 1000 feet in length and 10 to 15 feet in height, it is only about 75 feet from an artificial reef made up of piles of concrete “erojacks “ basically in the shape of the “jacks” in the child’s game. These “erojacks” were originally used to combat beach erosion. Now used to help form an artificial reef, the site has become extremely popular with divers looking for diversified marine life and great photo opportunities.
