Ancient Mariner

Ancient Mariner

At a depth of 70 feet this somewhat shallow site is perfect for the weekend diver as well as the seasoned diver. There is still great structure to the wreck and abundant sea life. Because of the depth, you should have ample bottom time to really enjoy the dive. The Coast Guard Cutter, Nemesis, a veteran of WWII, was sunk in June of 1991 as a part of a program supported by the Broward and Palm Beach County Artificial Reef Programs. These artificial reefs not only give shelter and support to the local marine life, they also present wonderful dive venues for the Sport Diver. The program has sunk approximately 30 vessels in depths varying from 70 to 270 feet. The wreck is 165 feet in length and has many openings to the interior.
